A warm welcome begins at your front door. Bricks and mortar locations should be looking at all of their touch-points and asking themselves why would a customer choose to walk in the front door of my store, office etc. rather than just ordering online? Start there, then physically walk in the customer's shoes and consider their mindset. Is their path to service clearly marked? Is their path neat and clean? Is it comfortable and welcoming? What does is smell like? Whether they are conscious of it or not, all of these factors play a part in their decision to do business with you. Roll out the welcome mat, and show your customers you care.
